1. (ਫਰਮਾ:M) a system by which theproprietor makes over a well in workingorder to a tenant on condition that he paysthe proprietary share of the produce
2. theproprietor remains responsible for halfthe revenue, the tenant retains the otherhalf of the produce and pays half the revenue,it being understood that so long asthe tenant continues to cultivate or arrange for cultivation, he cannot be oustedfrom the land so made over:—ਫਰਮਾ:taraddadkár, s. m A tenant who holds land according to the ਫਰਮਾ:Taraddad system:—ਫਰਮਾ:taraddad kárí, s. f Tenure.
